Gathered in Rajasthan the sumptuous vintage sari fabric with elaborate woven metal thread decoration, has been repurposed for us by our Indian tailors. Each of the vests is unique with only a few being made from different parts of the sari. The brocade has been quilted giving the garment structure yet it is still soft and comfortable to wear and dance in. The vest can be worn over a simple choli or coin bra for performance. It would equally be a great addition to a Steampunk or LARP costume. Lace up corset style fastening at the centre back and under the bust make it adjustable to fit a wide range of sizes.
Please note the fabrics are vintage pieces and have already had a life in another guise, so there may be imperfections and signs of wear. This all adds to the charm of the piece, it has history.
We recommend this item be dry cleaned  or washed gently by hand in cold water.
